They also have excellent breakfasts and Bloody Marys. It’s a unique environment that you will want to visit as soon as possible!

This is an Austin institution. Magnolia Cafe serves some of the best breakfasts and brunch in town. Their fried chicken and waffles are to die for, and they have some fantastic vegetarian options. And their atmosphere is very Austin. They have a laid-back country charm that you will love!

This restaurant is a bit more expensive, but it’s more than worth it. Café No Sé serves upscale Mexican food at a very reasonable price. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you feel like you’re in Mexico without leaving the heart of Austin.

The Carillon is a great place to go for dinner in South Congress. It’s a relaxing atmosphere with a massive patio and excellent food. The food on the menu changes every week, but there are always lots of options to choose from. The drinks are also delicious, and there’s also an impressive wine list.

Carpenter is located right in the city’s heart, on Congress Ave. It’s a classic place to grab a coffee and some pastries. Their baked goods and coffee are fantastic but expect something other than fancy interior decoration. Everything is casual, and you feel more like a local than a tourist!

This is a restaurant and a bar. Caroline’s on Rainey is one of Austin’s best places to eat. You can choose from a wide selection of food and drinks but go here for the atmosphere. The place is very laid back, with friendly waiters who will give you all the information you need regarding Austin’s nightlife. We recommend this place as one of our favorite restaurants in town!

Pacha Organic Cafe is a great place to go for a healthy and delicious breakfast. The food is prepared with lots of fresh vegetables and has lots of vegetarian options. It’s trendy in Austin, so get there early if you want to get a table!
9. Mattie’s Pizza
This place is a little bit out of the way, but it’s a real treat. You can always expect the freshest ingredients and excellent service. Mattie’s Pizza makes delicious Pizza with the most fantastic pizza sauce. And the place’s decor is super cool and homey simultaneously! If you want to get out of town for a while but still visit some of Austin’s best tourist spots, this is our recommendation!
10. Juliet Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar
This restaurant is a little bit more expensive but worth every penny. Juliet’s is a must-go when you want to have a romantic dinner. They serve excellent Italian food, including pasta and pizzas. But their star is the delicious desserts, perfect for a sweet ending to a fantastic date.
